how do you become a custom car designer, like out of MTV’s Pimp My Ride?

To become a great designer, it takes years, yes thats right, years, or you and many friends who all know an individual skill. Rims and tires are easy, then theres interior, custom painters, custom stereo peoples, automotive masters, and of course a shop forman/owner. You can be sure that it’ll take years to get your business out there and get people coming, and word of mouth helps alot. Its hard to stay afloat, I couldn’t do it for 4 years doing paint and body, because the demand is there but the lack of money is there more often than not. Everybody wants a custom paintjob but at a very cheap price…so you may want to think again
