why is the bridge pick up slanted?
On the fender stratocasters, the pick up at the bridge position, is slanted.

It leans a little it towards the bridge.

Position, height, and types of pickups can alter the quality of sound coming out of your guitar. The standard stratocaster alignment for pickups contains the slanted one b/c the higher strings give off different outputs of sounds. Due to the lower strings’ differences, and the bridge pickup generally being more towards the bass sounds, it’s got a slight slant.
